Systematic collection
A core element of Schaufler's business is the collection of steel scrap arising from factories and sites. A highly developed container exchange system, as well as customer-oriented infrastructure, assures suitable logistic concepts for any demand.
Each factory or site is different. Our team of staff works closely together with the persons in charge to create specialized solutions. Skips and containers of different sizes can be offered. A dedicated service team offers great continuity and flexibility of service.
Ferrous Processing
Non-metallic waste like wood or plastic is separated from the metal stream. Furthermore, non-ferrous material is sorted to produce fractions for use by smelters. The following processes of size reduction and compaction are performed using hydraulic scrap shears and scrap baling presses according to the European steel scrap specification.
This material will be brought into furnace feed grades and can directly be used by steel works and foundries.
